About Sam Fremin

I graduated from Penn State in 2023 with Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Political Science, as well as minors in German and Creative Writing. During my studies, I focused on sports writing and counterterrorism, though I often branched outside of those two central interests.

Since July 2023, I have worked as a sports reporter for the Scranton Times-Tribune, both in print and for digital publication. For the two years prior, I served as a member of Onward State's Penn State football beat and assisted the Associated Press with its Super Bowl coverage.

I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere. I am also skilled in photojournalism, ethical social media reporting and WordPress, as well as the German language. Due to my work history (professional and artistic), I am comfortable with public speaking and improvising.
